Charles Post is Energy Storage Program Manager at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). In this role, Charlie is responsible for implementing PG&E’s energy storage program. This includes all aspects of energy storage; Policy, Regulatory and Commercial. Charlie began his career at PG&E in 2000, working in electric transmission rates.

In 2004, just as the RPS requirements were being finalized, Charlie moved to Energy Procurement and managed its 2004 and 2005 RPS RFOs. Charlie remained in Energy Procurement until 2014, primarily negotiating RPS PPAs and evaluating potential ownership opportunities for PG&E. Charlie led structuring and negotiations for transactions with a combined value of over $3B. He also managed large transaction teams and procurement process for hundreds of MWs of renewable energy, successfully closing deals negotiated over multiple years. In 2014, Charlie transitioned to the role of Energy Storage Program Manager and became PG&E’s first employee dedicated 100% to Energy Storage.
